November 2004
Welcome to another day in paradise, where we celebrate all
things bright and beautiful about Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo. This 2004-2005 season
promises to be very active. Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo gets bigger and more vibrant
every year and here at ADIP we're trying to keep up.
We've made some new changes this year. We took the time
to do some serious market research to find out what you want to read about
...nah, not really ... we still only write about what we like. And we
like Art! So this month we kick off our new Art series by highlighting
some of the great art you can find here, this month in our Galleries feature
we go to Galart and check out David Correa, and then for our shopping
feature go in search of religious folk art at Coco Cabaña and Galeria
Maya. We like to know fascinating tidbits about the history of Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo,
so we asked long time visitor and just all around well informed guy, Bob
Schulman, to fill us in. We like fishing too, especially when it's tag
and release, so Capt. Ed tells us about a few all-release tournaments,
past and upcoming. And fishing is not the only tournaments we have, we
have surfing, too. And then there's food (we really like that) so we go
into the kitchen with Chef Apollo to learn some of his secrets, and come
away from it convinced we're better eaters than cookers. And we gotta
keep up with all the parties we've missed, so we have Judy Brown's Z-Scene
to keep us informed. And speaking of keeping informed, that's what our
Real Estate and Finance section is all about. But what I like most of
all is sitting around watching movies, so when the Morelia Film Fest came
around, I couldn't resist. I had to go so I could tell you all about it.
Then way at the back, we've got a fabulous new feature, Horoscopes by
noted astrologer Michael Thiessen, cause I know you want them (or maybe
it's just me!).
So there you have it, that's what we like... here's hoping you do, too!
Until next time,
