Volume 7 - Issue 37

February 2005

Welcome to Another Day in Paradise.

It’s February, so let the fun begin.

I don’t know why it is but it always seems that February is the real first month of the year. Maybe it’s because we are on tropical time and move a bit slower or maybe it just takes a full month for us to recover from the holidays. Whatever the reason, things seem to only really get started in February. Forget November, December and January, we were just getting warmed up, February is where it’s at.

This month is always the largest issue of the magazine and when everyone, ourselves included, finally get it together. Sort out all our computer problems, answer all those back logged phone messages, finally make it to a few parties and yes, correct those pesky typos. Does it really take us three months to correct a typo… well seems it does… and really why obsess, it’s February and February is all about fun.

This month we go looking for fun at Sailfest and Carnival (other Mexican cities may be more famous for their carnivals, but I think we can change that) and Club Intrawest’s new resort on Playa La Ropa. We glam it up at Lulu Jones’ fabulous beauty boutique and learn some fun stuff about Mexican history, Ejido land and recycling. And just in time for Valentine’s Day we go learn the language of roses. Can you say, “Give me some” ? Let me digress and tell you about last Valentine’s day when a delivery guy showed up at my door with an amazing, beautiful bouquet so large I couldn’t even see him behind it, only to find out he was at the wrong address...now, that’s not a thing a girl recovers from easily. So don’t spoil the fun, buy somebody roses !

And have a happy February !

Until next time,
