PARTY TIME
Sparkle and Shine: Not only does she sparkle on the outside but she shines from within. That would be the “luscious LOIS BROWN!” She and hubby Dashing DAVID gave a party in honor of LOIS’ brother MARK from Enumclaw, Wa. (you heard me right), and friend CARLOS from Italy. The “fabienda” Villa Zanzibar was filled with locals and out-of-towners, young and young-at-heart. Among ‘em were Scintillating CINDEE LEO and hubby DAN The Darling, The Incomparable CLAIRE and TONY, Z-Publishing Maven CATHERINE, Fabulous FABIOLA and EVERARDO from DAVID CONNELL’S office, Z-Always Amazing MARGO and her Lovable LULU, the Enigmatic JEREMY PAZ, Gracious GRACE, LIZ and DAVID from Santa Fe, Lively LEONORA, JEANIE and DICK from Anchor Bay, Ca., BILL FISH’S daughter SASHA from St. Cruz, TOM PECK and JOE from Seattle, RENE from Holland, KIM and PETER and JOYCE and LLOYD from B.C., YOGI from Mo., BUDDHA MAN, MARIE and RICHARD from Lake Tahoe, DEWEY, Real Estate Agent TIM SULLIVAN and wife CARMEN, Capt.BOB, Sassy CISSY and RICK, JOHN and CAROL of Zihrena Systems, and more.
Party On: LEONORA gave a Pisces Birthday Bash for PAULA and CAROL at Tantralizing TANIA’S “fantasienda”. LEONORA, LOIS and friends hand-painted seed pods with glitter and bright colors and hung them in the surrounding trees where they sparkled majestically in the moonlight. Most of the aforementioned people attended along with ROD, LENNY, ABBY, SUMMER, DOLORES the painter, Z-BAD BOY PETER, Capt.ANDREW and Charismatic KATE of the Nirvana, Kaptivating KAT and GERT. Proud Mama TANIA and daughter surfing champ ANA ISABEL with HUW, were glowing as was TANIA’S daughter MAYA who recently graduated from the prestigious Culinary Arts Institute of San Francisco. The wonderful little terraces, sitting areas, winding paths, beautiful trees, and views of the bay added to the magic of the party.
Strictly Irresistible: It was a perfect windy evening for the sailing party that “Bad Boy” PETER the Painter gave on the Nirvana. Among the partygoers were JACKIE and RODNEY, Capt.WALT of Casa Bahia, New York JOHN and HELENE, DAVID and PAULA from Austin, LINDA With The Laughing Eyes FOX, World Famous Surfing Bartender JERRY from N.Y., and PETER’S mom BYRA who is gracious, charming and tolerant…what with “Bad Boy” and all! Dreamweaver: The Extraordinary One, JUDITH WHITEHEAD of Paradise Properties gave a scrumptious dinner party which included BILL UNDERWOOD back from a trip to Antarctica where he communed with the penguins, ART DAY of CB/Richard Ellis in town to look at development possibilities, JERRY LAIRD and those Lovable LEOS.
IT TAKES A VILLAGE
The event that S.O.S. Bahia and the Zihuatanejo Fishing Co-operative Buen Rumbo had to clean up the beaches and marine floor of the bay was a total success. Over 200 people participated including local schoolchildren who picked up 150 bags of trash, and divers came all the way from Germany specifically to help with the event. The yachtsmen and women and sailors who have their boats in the bay were organized by Rick’s Bar and donated the trash bags. They took out their dinghies and snorkeled in front of La Ropa in order to pick up trash from the floor of the bay. WIBKE reports that people were even cleaning the rocks in front of Las Gatas. ROCIO MADRAZO Proprietress of Galart and LISA MARTIN organized a silent auction/sale to raise funds for the Netza Indian School at La Cantina in Hotel Villa Del Sol. And raise funds they did! The school children came and sang to the large crowd that attended the event. Follow Up Report: Groundbreaking took place for HELMUT WALTER’S clinic for the Hemodialysis Project Esther Walter and The Troncones Library is now open as well.
Congratulations to ONE and ALL!
