IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE!

SHARI and SCOTT CRAWFORD hosted a lively cocktail party celebrating the opening of their exclusive bed and breakfast Hotel Las Palmas on the beach at Playa Blanca. Enjoying the gorgeous setting and smashing ENRIQUE ZOZAYA architecture were both locals and out of towners alike. Locals included BRIAN the “Kayak Dude”, ISABEL, GLORIA and RICHARD, ROCIO MADRAZO, MICHAEL from Casa Amigos with friends, DAVE proprietor of La Casa Vieja (get your reservations in early for his Christmas Day bar-b-que), and from DAVID CONNELL’S office were EVERARDO, LILI, and DORA. MIKE came all the way from London and gave smashing reviews as did BRIAN and PATTY from Michigan and actress TROAS HAYES from Encino, Ca. Bartender TONY BOSQUE was imported from San Francisco and made the BEST margaritas ever!

LET’S HAVE A PARADE!

What fun it was watching the Revolution Day parade! Enjoying the festivities from Mangos on Nicolas Bravo was Hostess With Z-Mostest ISABEL, ESTHELA Proprietress and chef of The Orient Express, Our Very Own Publishing Maven CATHERINE KRANTZ, MONA FELTS of N.Y. and Z-Gracious GRACE. It was a joy to behold the school children from the public and private schools in Z dancing and performing their acrobatic routines, as well as the marching representatives from the community services and parading horses. Loads of people lined the streets and one could FEEL THE LOVE!

GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN!

Lots of fun going on at Luscious LOIS BROWN’S “chick party”. Among those on hand at the “fabienda” Villa Zanzibar were GRACE who was in rare form keeping JACKIE the jeweler, Sassy CISSY, Scintillating CINDEE, DEBBIE from Coconuts, CATHERINE and JEAN laughing until midnight. EVERYBODY MUST GET STONED

”The Stone Massage” at Lavender & Roses, the beauty salon and day spa at Hotel Villa Del Sol, that is! Warm stone massage is the very latest thing in message therapy and it is truly “Z-vine”. One of the first to get stoned was HELMUT LEINS owner of Hotel Villa Del Sol, and among others who were raving about it were CISSY from Austin,Tx., TIM and CARMEN from Ixtapa, DEBORAH of Mama Norma’s Restaurant, GARY from Carmel,Ca. and yours truly who was thoroughly blissed out!

Also at Casa Bahia: Artist KIRSTI, HANS, and LUZ owner of ZIH Galeria with artist MARCO ANTONIO BUSTAMANTE from Oaxaca who had a successful presentation of his oil paintings at the galeria the following night. HOORAY FOR HOLLYWOOD!

Our “Hottie in Hollywood” reports that SEAN PENN gives an amazing Oscar-worthy performance in the movie “I Am Sam” which also stars MICHELE PFEIFFER as does JENNIFER CONNELY and RUSSELL CROWE in RON HOWARD’S “Beautiful Mind”. SISSY SPACEK from “In The Bedroom” and WILL SMITH in “Ali” are reported to be Oscar-bound. “Ali” is said to be a knockout and everyone is excited about “LORD OF THE RINGS” as well. FYI: Israeli actor AHARON IPALE of “The Mummy” fame was “scene” at the Villa Del Sol with his brother DAVID in from London. Love This: Congratulations to ANA ISABELLE, daughter of TANIA, who has won the Guerrero state surfing championship and will be going on to the nationals!
